The construction of the new day care centre completes the existing estate and contains a new village square, where the church and community centre are also located. The three-part building allows both children and visitors to find their way about easily. In the middle part of the building can be found the entrance area with generous play stairs, which serve as an access point, meeting space, and platform for the adjoining multipurpose room. The four group rooms lie in the northern part of the building and offer barrier-free access. In the southern part of the building, the family centre is located with spaces for language support and therapy.
The ground floor façade is provided with slat cladding made of wood, while the 1st floor and the folded roof form a visual whole made of diamond-shaped metal shingles. In a separate residential building, three barrier-free apartments are created. The design of the new ‘village square’ connects the various forecourts in front of the church, community centre, day care centre, school, and street into a shared space.
